3 Techie Things I’m Excited About in February and Other Stuff in My Life

1. HP and Palm’s Think Beyond event. New hardware announcements should come forth, and fingers cross, WebOS 2.0 should be released to existing devices. Feb. 9th.
2. Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Deadpool, Thor, and Viewtiful Joe are all playable and Galactus is the big boss. Awesome. Feb. 15th.
3. Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego will become a Facebook game. I dumped a few hours into Carmen Sandiego back in the day, and hey, who doesn’t love geography trivia? Feb. 9th.

At work, we are launching a brand new website and community that we’ve developed completely in-house— no outside help or platforms. I’ll be sharing my thoughts about it once it launches. It’s very exciting and I think very groundbreaking (and risky) for a non-profit.

There’s our annual 3-day work retreat in there too. I’ll be speaking at that and, if history repeats itself, I’ll have to do some level of performing as well.

Later in February, I’ll also be hosting a workshop at the Life After AmeriCorps Conference on navigating social media.
